Howl-Some Friends

Come and join our Howl-O-Ween Festival even if you don’t have a dog! Our hope is that you will leave with a new best friend, or at least the start of your adoption plans through one of our Pet Rescues. There will be many onsite with lots of adoptable, sweet lovin’ dogs that need homes. Adoption is certainly not limited to those without a dog, we are all about multiple dog families… so everyone can come ready to meet your next best friend. A few of our onsite pet rescues includes:

  • Ahimsa House: Ahimsa House, which is pronounced “uh-HIM-sah” and means “nonviolence” in Sanskrit, was founded in 2004 by Emily Christie after she lost a pet to domestic violence. Ahimsa House became Georgia’s first and only organization dedicated to helping the human and animal victims of domestic violence reach safety together.

  • Atlanta Rescue Dog Cafe: Atlanta Rescue Dog Cafe is a non-profit with a unique mission to contribute to the well-being of pets and people everywhere to improve human-animal interactions, reduce the incidence of animal cruelty, and relieve the strain on local animal shelters. We achieve this goal by providing fun, interactive, and engaging humane education, pet therapy, and community-building programs for all age levels from pre-kindergarten on up, even for adults.
  • Tiny Paws Rescue: Tiny Paws Rescue is a volunteer foster-based, small-breed dog rescue dedicated to rescue and placement of small dogs into loving, permanent homes.

  • German Shepherd Dog Rescue of Georgia: in 2004. We started this rescue effort in an effort to help German Shepherds find better homes. Since then, we have helped hundreds of German Shepherds find loving companions. Using the homes of other volunteers, we have continued our mission to find homes for German Shepherds in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
  • Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia: Pug Rescue of Florida & Georgia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue saving pugs/pug mixes since 2003. Licensed in Florida & Georgia.

  • Bosley’s Place: A Rescue Orphanage for Underage Puppies– Bosley’s Place rescue, launched in March 2015, is a nursery and sanctuary for homeless and orphaned neonatal puppies that provides bottle feeding and 24 hour care. • Newnan-Coweta Humane Society: Our mission in 2023 is to advocate for animals, support the community, and enhance pet/owner relationships through spay/neuter programs, fostering, and adoption services. We will participate in community education and outreach; help injured & sick animals that would otherwise be euthanized in Coweta County.

  • Atlanta Lab Rescue: Our mission is to identify and rescue Labrador Retrievers and large breed mixes from overwhelmed shelters and abusive situations and place them in secure, loving homes. • Dog Days Rescue: Dog Days Rescue is a 501(c)3 rescue servicing Atlanta and surrounding areas. Though small, we have big hearts for finding dogs their forever homes. My dream is for all dogs to have a fair chance at a happy life. I can’t do that without the help of many other people. Fosters, donors and adopters are an integral part of that dream.

  • P.A.L.S Atlanta-Pets Are Loving Support: It is the mission of Pets Are Loving Support, Inc. to provide ongoing care and support to the pets of Atlanta area persons living with critical illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and cancer, the disabled, and the elderly.
